What can you expect if you want to do an internship in southern Spain? Follow the steps below!
Intake conversation
To find the most suitable internship for you, we first schedule a video call. During this meeting we ask for practical information that you’ve received from school, but especially about your wishes. What would you like to do during your internship? In what kind of company would you like to do this? Etc.
In addition, during this interview you can indicate at which location you would prefer to do an internship and whether you also want us to arrange accommodation for you. Install the JongLeren.es app
After agreement on the search for your internship, our JongLeren.es app will come in handy. In the app you can follow the progress of the search for your internship and accommodation!
We also arrange all necessary documents, payments and appointments in the app. In addition, the app serves as the place where all JongLeren.es students come together. Think of the meet-ups and other events that we organize for which you can register via the app!
Start search internship
In this phase, our team will start the search for your ideal internship (and home) with the information you gave us during the intake interview!
We start looking for your accommodation once the internship search has been completed and the accommodation form has been signed.

Yes! We’ve found a potential match. We will schedule an interview to see if you and the company are a good fit.
Accommodation (Optional)
When you have been hired at your internship company, we can look for accommodation for you, this is optional. Depending on your wishes, budget and the possibilities, we will organize accommodation near your internship location.
Your internship abroad
As soon as you have started your internship, we will visit you within the first 3 weeks to see if everything is going well. If something is wrong, we will look for a solution together.
In addition, we ensure that you get the chance to get to know other students so that your internship period is even more fun.

Accommodation
In addition to a good internship, it is important that you have nice accommodation. Depending on your wishes, budget and the possibilities, we will organize housing near your internship location. Many students choose to have their accommodation arranged through us. It can be a very challenging task to arrange accommodation on your own, especially near your internship location. In addition, housing often only becomes available shortly before the internship period.

Option 1: Room
A room costs an average of €525 (excl. gas, water, electricity and WiFi). When you rent a room, you share a living unit with others who are studying, working or doing an internship. By renting a room, you immediately get to know other people. They are often looking for social contact and that is how you make new friends right away!
Option 2: Apartment
The rental price for an apartment starts from €700 per month (for 1 person) excluding gas, water, electricity and WiFi. However, different prices apply in Málaga than in Marbella. Of course you save costs when you share a living space with several people.
Option 3: Host family
Host family costs start from €700 per month. This depends on half or full board. It is important to make good agreements about living together. A host family is great for your language development and that way you get to know the typical Spanish living habits.
